Off the western coast of the Nicoya Peninsula, lies Playa Coyote, a remote beach which has immaculate sands and is another example of the stunning beaches found in the Guanacaste province.  It is very difficult to access Playa Coyote due to the many rough roads which become virtually impassable in the rainy season.  Playa Coyote is situated between Playa Manzanillo and Playa Samara and is a beautiful, yet secluded spot.

With a mostly low tide, the sea here is ideal for swimming but there is good swells further south which provide good quality surfing conditions which are particularly suitable for experienced surfers. The beach break and right and left waves make for powerful, fast waves.  This is not a busy surfing spot due to the fact that it is so remote but for those wishing to view paradise, then Playa Coyote is a must.
