I’m not a surfer can I still take advantage of the Surf Voucher Program?

Sure you can! Anybody that would like to visit Costa Rica can and should take advantage of our program. As long as at least one of the travelers is 21 years old (or older) to drive the car.

Can I use the Surf Voucher for Christmas or Easter Week?

Unfortunately we do not offer the package from December 20^th to January 10^th or during Easter Week.

Is the Surf Voucher Program a more affordable option than designing my own package?

It surely is! We negotiated the most affordable fees with all the participating hotels, plus with us you have the advantage of travelling throughout Costa Rica without the need of pre-booking or cancelling reservations in the case the weather or surfing conditions aren’t on your side.

Can I book a participating hotel before I arrive?

Only the room for your first and last night in San Jose can and will be booked. Due to the nature of our program and our prices rooms in the participating hotels outside of San Jose can’t be pre-booked.

Can I use my cell phone in Costa Rica?

Most providers do offer a roaming service in Costa Rica, additionally you can rent a local mobile phone from the rental car company.

Do I need a Credit Card to for the 4×4 rental?

Yes you do, as in all countries when your vehicle is delivered the rental company will require a security deposit which will be refunded the day you return the SUV.

Do I need an international Driving License for the 4×4 Rental?

No you don’t! All drivers license are accepted in Costa Rica during 3 months from your arrival. The only requirement is to be at least 21 years old.

Is breakfast included in all the participating hotels?

Most of the hotels that accept the surf voucher as a form of payment do include a complimentary breakfast with your stay. In the list provided upon your arrival we stipulate which do and don’t.

Will I be able to find my way throughout Costa Rica?

Upon your arrival we provide a detailed map and driving directions to all the surf spots, beaches and participating hotels. Additionally the rental car company offer a GPS (which we highly recommend) for an additional fee that can guide you directly to each and every location.

Why are all the Surf Voucher Packages offered with a 4×4 vehicle?

Some of the most famous surf spots in Costa Rica are only accessible by 4×4, apart from this some parts of the roads to the beaches are gravel and not in good shape.

Will I end up sleeping in the Rental Car if the participating hotels don’t have rooms available?

Not at all! We have contracts with several hotels in all the beaches, in the case you didn’t pre-booked your stay and upon your arrival there are no rooms available you’ll have enough available options to assure you a good night sleep.

Do all the participating hotels know about the Surf Voucher Program?

Of course they do! We have signed contracts with each and every hotel we list and in all of them there will always be someone available to assist you. Plus we offer a 24/7 emergency number in the case you have any problem.
